Policies and Regulations

Credit Policy

O.R. Woodyard Co., Inc. Funeral Homes is a family owned business like many others in our community. We operate on a cash basis, being totally dependent upon the families we serve for prompt payment by the day of funeral service. We have adopted the following payment methods to insure that we continue providing families quality service. Payment is expected by the day of the funeral service.

Check, Cash, or Money Order
Many families use this method of payment for consideration of the funeral expenses by the day of the funeral service.

Visa or Master Card
Families can use their own credit line to pay for the funeral expenses.

Insurance Assignments
Some families want to use the insurance to finance the funeral service. Using this option, an assignment is taken on the insurance policy by the funeral home and the insurance company will pay the funeral home and any difference is made to the beneficiary.

Pre-Funded Trust
Many families pre=pay for their funeral years in advance saving themselves and their family the financial consideration.

Funeral Home Regulations

  • In the event that we extend credit for 60 days, we require (2) signatures from individuals who will accept financial responsibility for the final funeral expenses. Parties must own REAL ESTATE locally or have had the same stable job for over 2 years.
  • A late fee of 1.5% (18% annually) will be charged per month on any unpaid balance. We reserve the right to seek legal action on accounts (3) months past due.
  • No smoking inside the Funeral Home
  • Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • No food or drink will be permitted in the Funeral Home at any time.
