Brenda Carter, age 56, of Columbus, OH, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Brenda was a partner of BMD Blasting and former employee of Crane Plastics. Brenda died of unexpected recurring breast cancer. Brenda is survived by son, Danny (Nicole) Carter; one grandson and three granddaughters; mother and stepfather, Louise Young-Stepp and Herman Stepp; sister, Katharine (Terry) Ward; sister-in-law, Sheila Young of Kissimmee, FL; stepsister, Treasa Ryan; stepbrothers, Kenny and David Stepp; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father Jay Jr. Young and brother Danny Lee Young. Brenda was a child of the Lord and showed it. Member of the Road to Damascus Church. Now that she is gone, she will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. SOUTH CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where service will be held Saturday 12Noon. Pastors Johnny Loar, Kevin Ross and Joe McDowell officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery.
