Carolyn A. Power

January 30, 1935 - April 4, 2021

Carolyn Ann (Fox) Power, 86, died peacefully with family at her bedside on April 4, 2021. She was born January 30, 1935 in Marion, Ohio to the late Rollin and Florence (Schneemilch) Fox. She was a graduate of Harding High School and Columbus Business Academy. She worked as a soda jerk and secretary before meeting William, marrying him in 1956 and becoming a homemaker. They started a ceramic business over 40 years ago and she loved teaching and creating ceramic pieces. She taught at a number of Senior Living centers including Wesley Glenn, Worthington Christian, Eastland Manor and Columbus Parks and Recs, as well as offered classes in her home. She was a member of Groveport United Methodist Church for over 35 years and was involved with the Lillian Faith Circle and served on the membership and welcoming committee. She also enjoyed filling in on the piano a number of times for Sunday service. Carolyn is survived by her loving children Steve Power, Terry Power, Molly (Steve) Pierce, Tammy (Paul) Meyer and Gretchen (Edward) Dildine, cherished grandchildren Josh (Amanda) Pierce, Tony Pierce, Bailey Meyer, Abby Pierce, Riley (Brooklyn) Meyer, Stephanie Pierce, MacKenzie Carsey, Billy (Courtney) Pierce, Ryan Carsey, treasured great grandchildren Wesson Pierce, Carter Middlemus, and Parker Middlemus, as well as many nieces and nephews, family members and friends. Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, William Power, daughters Ann Blythe and Vickie Sue Power, as well as her parents and several siblings. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 8th from 11 am until the time of funeral service at 1 PM. Services will be at Myers Woodyard Funeral Home located at 587 Main Street, Groveport, Pastor Jonathan Mann Officiating. Interment at Franklin Hills Cemetery immediately following and luncheon will be provided at Groveport United Methodist Church.
