Charles "Chuck" Hansel Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Charles "Chuck" Hansel, age 78, passed away at home on May 18, 2022. He was born on December 3, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Leroy and Eleanor Hansel. Chuck was a hard working man who had a passion for fishing, being outdoors, and being with his family. He never knew a stranger. On August 26, 1966, he married his wife, Linda Hansel; they spent nearly 56 years together. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Bowling; his siblings: Larry (Kathy) Hansel, Mary Watkins, Melvin Hansel, Elzea Hansel, and David Hansel; brother-in-laws: Tommy, Bobby, and Eddie Bowling and Ernie Morris; as well as father-in-law, Roy Bowling. Chuck is survived by his wife, Linda Hansel; children: Abby (Kelly) Meier, Michael (Karen) Hansel, and Ann Hansel (Phillip Johnson); grandchildren: Britney (Brodie) Spears, Cory (Kate) Meier, Roxanne Hansel (Angelo Rieser), Mikie (Lauren) Hansel, Amber Hansel, Kimberly Hansel, Phillip (Amber) Johnson, and Charles Johnson; great grandchildren: Joel, Libby, Cristian, Kane, Grace, Addie, Adam, Treydan, and Stormy; sister-in-laws: Bonnie Morris, Karen (Ellis) Pinkerton, Sharen (Arkey) Dalton, Tammy (Earl) Brinkerhoff, and Toni (Jr) Riffe; brother-in-law, Randy Bowling; and mother-in-law, Mary Bowling. Chuck also leaves behind his yorkie, CoCo; he will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and other family members, too numerous to list. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at O.R. Woodyard Co. South Chapel (1346 S. High St. Cols. OH, 43207), where funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
