Chris Zarkos, 91, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on the 24th of May. He was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. Chris graduated from New York University with a degree in International Business. He was married to Rosemarie on September 8, 1957. Chris worked as the International Sales Manager for Ashland Chemical and had the opportunity to be one of the first Americans to travel to China. Chris worked throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe and was joined by his wife and family on many of these trips. Chris taught himself Spanish and traveled with his wife to many Spanish speaking countries and other destinations abroad. Chris was an excellent cook and introduced his family to many Greek recipes and traditions. He loved to garden and enjoyed spending summers in his backyard with his family. Chris had a great sense of humor and could make any situation lighthearted. He is survived by his spouse, Rosemarie, his two children Catherine and Steven, and their families and grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be held at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church at 555 North High Street, Columbus. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 and the funeral service will begin at 10:30.
