Diana Rosaline Evans, age 90 passed away September 9th, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Diana was born October 19th, 1928 in Columbus Ohio. She attended and fondly remembered her school years at Saint Mary School in German Village. Diana was known for her love of family, selfless giving and zest for life. She treasured God, family, her home and her flower garden. She was an excellent cook and card player and provided many opportunities for her family to gather, eat great food and have lots of laughs. Her family will carry her loving spirit and love of life in their hearts always.Diana spent forty years in the finance and banking business beginning with Buckeye Federal Savings and Loan and retiring from National City/PNC Bank. She had multiple roles throughout her career and always commented on how helping others was the best part of her job. She was hard working and dedicated and missed her work after she retired at age 80.Diana was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Donald E. Evans, parents Frederick Esser and Rosaline Kaiser, son-in-law Ken J. Woo and grandson Bradley Michael Woo. Together they raised five children, Kathleen (James) Overman, Minster, Ohio, Karen Woo, Westerville, Kristine Evans, Dublin, Korinne (Thomas) Worth, Dublin and Donald, Celina, Texas, twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Diana also had a special fluffy white dog named Dolly who was her close companion and who she loved very much. Gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, September 15 from 2-5 pm at O. R. WOODYARD NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 2990 Bethel Rd. Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 10:30 am at St. Andrew Church, 1899 McCoy Rd. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. A special thanks to the doctors, nurses, chaplains, and caregivers at Riverside Methodist Hospital Intensive Care Unit and Palliative Care Unit for your outstanding care of Diana. In addition, the family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Shailesh C. Pinto, MD for helping our family with some very difficult decisions.
