Harold Salyers left this world for a better place on March 22, 2021. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his devoted family. He is preceded in death by his parents Newt and Cousby Salyers, sisters Hazel Coons, Sarah Porter, Marie Justice and Cloma Lyon, brothers Raymond, Darrell and Elwood Salyers, grandsons Jamie Hughes and Brent Salyers. Harold leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years, Loretta. He is also survived by his children, Arlene (Bobby) Murphy, Eugene (Teresa) Salyers and Lois (EJ) Caldwell; brother, Arthur Salyers; grandsons, Robbie Murphy, Philip (Amy) Salyers, Allen (Shelley) Salyers; granddaughters, Emma (Joe) Black and Nikki Franklin; 13-great grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Harold was a song leader for more than 40 years and loved to sing for the Lord. He enjoyed his hunting trips and riding in the semi with his son. Harold also enjoyed working in his garden. Visiting hours are Friday, March 26, 2021, 4-8pm. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 1pm. Viewing one hour prior to service.
