Helen Jarrell, 79, of Columbus, Ohio passed away April 15, 2020. Helen was born November 13, 1940. Helen was loved by everyone who got the chance to know her. She had such a big heart and her family meant the world to her. She retired from Schottensteins on Parsons Ave where she worked until they closed their doors for 30 years. She really loved that place and everyone she worked with. Helen was preceded in death by her late husband, Ed Lemay and her children, Peggy Mabes, Benjamin Mabes, and Candy Rudolph. Helen is survived by her first husband, Ben Mabes, grandchildren, Deb Johnson (Gary), Penny Knight, Jessie Bowen (Shannon), Charley Bowen (Megan), and April Schmidt (Ariel); great grandchildren, David Alan, Sierra, Craig, Keegan, Camron, Charley, Benjamin, Lillian, Jonathan, Christian, and Donovan. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, a private family service will be held at O.R. Woodyard South Chapel, 1346 S. High St, in Columbus on Thursday, April 23, 2020.
