James Rothermund Moore, age 88 of Hilliard, passed away quietly on Saturday, October 21, 2023.  His long life will be remembered for his commitment to his wife of 64 years and his children, together with his love of cars and photography.  Despite his impaired speech resulting from a stroke, his smile and warm, enthusiastic greetings will be remembered by all those who knew and cared for him. He was tenacious in life and in death, his efforts always resulting in a completed task or project.  He was fondly referred to as "JR" at work which he began at age 14 at Beasley Ford.  He retired from Hite Parts Exchange after a long, successful and award-winning career in car and truck parts management.  He also served in the Naval Reserves and was a longtime member of Northwest Christian Church.  Preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Donna Faye Moore (McWilliams); mother, Kathryn Kennedy Moore; father, Lewis Moore. Survived by children, Debra K. O'Brien (Tommy Cross), Steven J. Moore (Robin Vandevender) and Scott L. Moore (Lori Fairhurst Moore); 3 grandchildren, Steven S. Moore, Justin J. Moore and Meleah H. Moore; 3 great grandchildren, Britnee, Khord and Kennedy; extended family and dear friends. A private family interment next to his beloved wife, Donna in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Northwest Christian Church in memory of Jim.
