Jerry Ackley Sr., age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and family. U S Air Force Veteran and retired from Westinghouse after 20 years. Preceded in death by son, Jerry Jr.; parents, Nathan and Lou Ellen; brothers, Joe, Jack and James; sister, Anna Mae Fletcher. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Bernice; many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3rd from 11 am until time of the funeral service at 1 pm at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL 1346 S. High Street followed by interment in Fernwood Cemetery.
