Joan Josephine Daniels

August 20, 1928 - February 18, 2022

Joan Josephine Daniels left this world suddenly on February 18, 2022 at Mount Carmel East Hospital at the age of 93. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was born to Edward and Flossie Enke on August 20, 1928. After graduating from South High School in Columbus, Ohio she met the love of her life Charles Thomas Daniels. They met when he came home from the Navy after being in WWII. He moved home, and met the girl next door. It was love at first sight. They were married 64 years when he passed away on February 13, 2009. They had 7 children together. Joan loved to spend time with her family and friends, reminiscing about the past and telling stories. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, watching crime shows, cooking, and so many other things. Her favorite place to be was by the water and spent many vacations with family at Lake Erie and multiple places by the ocean. She was the most loving, honest, and caring person one could ever meet, and she never met a stranger she didn’t like. Her advice, values and kind words will always be remembered, she truly was a shining light. She is preceded in death by sons Kenny, Mark, and Michael Daniels and daughter Linda Gilbert. She is survived by Steve and Denise Daniels, Kevin and Tammy Daniels, Sandy Daniels, and daughter in law Pat Daniels (Kenny), and son in law Carl Gilbert (Linda). Joan leaves behind her brother Richard and Betty Enke. Grandchildren, Brian Daniels fiancé (Krista), Angie Daniels, Marc Daniels, Wyatt Daniels, Chris Daniels, Sarah Daniels, Paul and Amy Jones, Stefanie Parker, Julie Gamez, Teresa, Terry, and Bobby Gilbert. Great Grandchildren: Makina Walt, Morgan Parker, Matthew Daniels, Damian Daniels, Emilia Gonzales, and others. Niece, Diane Meadows Best Friend, Eleanor Carol, and many other loved ones. She will forever be in our hearts and her memory will live on with all of us. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 1 PM at O.R. Woodyard Co. South Chapel (1346 S. High St. Cols. OH, 43207)
