Marlene Hay, 88, born January 22, 1933, passed away November 27, 2021. Marlene was deeply loved by her family, friends and all who met her. She never met a stranger and lit up a room with her infectious humor and quick wit. Our family honors her for being the most loving, devoted, and fun mom, grandma and "Gigi." We thank her for her belly laugh stories and experiences we had with her, providing us with a lifetime of cherished memories of her. Our family wants to acknowledge and thank our brother, Scottie for his years of loving care and selfless devotion to our parents, especially the last 15 months of constant care for mom. We love, respect and are eternally grateful to you and Desi. We would also like to thank our friends Sandy, Tom and Kathy, Gail and especially Doug and Dr. Mike, Harold and Gerta and cousin Russ for their years of caring and friendship. Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hay Sr. and son, Shane Hay. She is survived by her children, Robin (Rich) Scurlock, Bobby (Pat) Yontz, Marla Bernado, Tom (Candy Dillon) Hay, Shawn (Vickie) Hay, Todd (Treva) Hay, and Scott (Desi) Hay; 12 grandchildren; 18 grandchildren; and our aunt, Tressie. Receiving hours on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the O. R. Woodyard South High Chapel, 1346 South High St, where the service will be on Friday, December 3 at 10:30 AM. Interment Fernwood Cemetery.
