Mary A. Smith, 88, of Groveport, passed away November 13, 2011 peacefully at home with her family at her side. Preceded in death by parents Harry and Martina Sharp of Crooksville and daughter Marsha Playko. Survived by husband of 64 years, Frank of the residence; son, Blaine (Wynona) of Canal Winchester; son-in-law, Richard (Ronee) Playko of Pickerington; sisters, Eleanor Wogoman of Troy and Dolores Dillehay of Crooksville; six grandchildren; four great-grand-children; many other relatives and friends. Mary was founder of the Groveport Garden Club. Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main Street in Groveport, where a Vigil Prayer Service will be at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday 11 a.m., St. Mary's Catholic Church, 5684 Groveport Rd., Groveport. Father Richard Metzger Celebrant. Interment Forest Cemetery in Circleville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary' Church.
