Survived by the love of her life Walter E. Ulry of 63 years, son PJ(Mindy)Ulry, daughter Angela(David) Spriggs, and daughter in law Dawn Ulry. 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son Mark E. Ulry, parents Anthony & Incornado Mary(Melfi) Spiert and brothers Vincent, Carmen, Richard, Nick, John, Tony, Joe, Art, sisters Ann Russel and Lucille Wilkinson. Mary was a long time member of the TurnPoint Apostolic Church of Groveport and although unable to make it to church in person, enjoyed watching the services live with her husband every week online. Mary’s parents both came from Italy so she had an inherited love for pasta! Her Spaghetti, Lasagna, and Chicken Cacciatore were delicious, but the family favorite had to be her homemade Chicken and Noodles and Apple Pie! Those two items were the show stopper and the family was blessed to have it on the menu every Thanksgiving and special occasion, Mary loved everyone and everything around her. Unless it happened to be a small, rounded eared, pointy whisker snouted, grey, furry, four legged rodent! Those were her achilles’ heel! We remember one time when they were living in the country, we were all seated outside enjoying the sun setting in the sky when up popped a mole. Our quiet light hearted conversation quickly went south. She nearly did herself harm jumping into her webbed lawn chair trying to reach higher ground. Mary loved to make a house a home. Anytime the family would move she would immediately have lamps lit, knick knacks placed, and pictures hung. We were always amazed at her interpretation of “eye level” as everything seemed to be a smidge too high. Maybe she was over compensating for her small stature? Or, while standing on a dinning room chair hammering nails in to the wall, it was “eye level”! Or maybe, just maybe, she was trying to make it perfect for her much taller mate. Either way, it was her, and it was always charming!
