Melvin Arthur King, age 80 passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Born on February 9, 1937 to the late Arthur and Imogene King. He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Anne King, daughters, Debra and Donna McKnight, siblings, Frannie, Clyde, Homer, Betty, Irma Jean, Grarold, Omer, Leon, Vernard and Maebell. Survived by his children, Melvin King, Robert Thompson (Michael Kunz), Chris Staley (Dave Staley), David Thompson, Melissa Thompson and Tysene King. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the O.R. WOODYARD SOUTH CHAPEL 1346 S. High street where friends may also call 1 hour prior to the funeral service at 1:30 pm on Thursday.
