Minerva Casto, age 85, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2022. She was born on January 25, 1937 in Naugatuck, WV to the late John and Mona (Crum) Chafins. Minerva loved spending time with her family and working on jigsaw puzzles. She had a heart for children, and her granddaughter and great grandkids were the light of her life. Minerva is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Donald (Mae) Chafins, Jay Chafins, Oda (Bill) Maynard, Juanita (Bill) Boyce, Jean (Carl) Martin, Carlos Chafins, and Bob Chafins. She is survived by daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Brown; granddaughter, Jamie (Lisa) Richiutti; great grandkids, Vinny, Phillip, and Addie Richiutti; sisters, Wanda Faye (Jim) Taylor and Linda (Howard) Hatmaker; sisters-in-law, Irene Chafins and Joyce Chafins; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM and from 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the O. R. Woodyard South Chapel, 1346 South High St, where the service will be Saturday at 10 AM.
