Mitsavanh Boualyvongsane, age 48, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Born on August 6, 1974, in Pakse, Laos, he immigrated to Michigan with his family at five years old. He found his home in 1995, relocating to Columbus, Ohio and marrying his best friend. An active, determined, hard worker, he could often be found golfing with friends, walking his two dogs, working out at the gym, and bodybuilding in competitions around the country.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years Nang; two dogs Craig and Maverick; mother Chanthone; siblings Som (Sang), Samoulack (Kym), Patina Wood (Curtis), Vay (Melody), Jean George (Adam), and Bounmy; nieces and nephews Elizabeth, Tyler, Dylan, Mahogany, Ashley, Tila, Christian, Noah, and Gabriella; the Senethavisouk family Phayboun, Thongphanh, Sal, Joum (Manothinh); and so many other loved ones. He was preceded by his father Nuanta.

He was a loyal friend and life of every Lao party, with an infectious laugh and smile. Mits will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

The visitation will be on Sunday, May 7 from 2 - 4 p.m. On Monday, May 8, a Christian funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m., followed by a Buddhist ceremony at 1:00 p.m. All services will take place at O.R. Woodyard Co. Funeral Services' South Chapel Location, 1346 S. High St. Columbus, OH 43207. Burial will follow the funeral service at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
