Okey Maynard, age 86, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his home in McArthur, OH. He was born on September 30, 1934 in Inez, KY to the late Mark and Vergie. Retired from Elford Contruction and was a proud member of the Ohio Laborers Union Local 423 for over 45 years. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a loving husband to the late Virgie Maynard. He is also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Okey is survived by his children, Del Maynard, Rosemary Shaver, Annette (David) Stone, Ronnie (Kelley) Maynard, and Lisa Wells; grandchildren, Brandon, Kyle, Terry Jr., Justin, Christy, Allison, Madison, Jamie, James, Kobe; 10 great grandchildren; several brothers and sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends may call Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD Co. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH, where funeral service will be Wednesday, 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Obetz Cemetery in Obetz, OH. Proper social distancing and masks are required for those who attend.
