Robert Bowen Jr. age 81, of Pataskala, passed away at Mt. Carmel East after along battle with illness Friday, March 4, 2016. US Navy veteran of Korean War. Retired from Buckeye Steel after 43 years of service. Member of Jersey Baptist Church and attended Heritage Free Will Baptist Church. Robert loved spending time with his family, gardening, fishing and taking trips with his family to the beach. Preceded in death by father, Robert Bowen Sr.; mother, Lyndal Nadine Chafin; sister, Bonnie Barbie; son, Robert Bowen III. Survived by wife of 59 years, Dona Bowen; daughters, Deborah K. (Gregory) Vogel and Teresa (Howard) Kirk; grandchildren, Mandy K. (Erik) Rennie , Brandy Pentello, Kyle (Khristy Reichle) Brenning and Dustin Bowen; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Sandra (Danny) Tharp; brother, Paul Chafin; several nieces and nephews.
