Ronald "Dale" Henry was born October 30, 1940 in Wellston, OH. the youngest of seven children born to Mick and Midge Henry. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Willard, Jr., Ralph and Kent, sister Barbara, son Andrew James. Survived by sister, Faye Thompson of Ironton, OH. and nephew raised as a brother, Bruce of Columbus. To mourn his passing and treasure his memories is his life partner and wife of 44 years, Peggy; his special needs daughter, Nikki; sons, Matthew (Sabrina), Tim and James, all of Groveport and Mark (Geetha) of Denver; grandchildren, Kyle, Clay, Caleb, Aubrey, Bailor, Chloe and Avanya; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dale moved to Columbus for work and spent the next 38 years as a clerk for the Norfolk & Southern Railroad, with a 2 year break serving in the U.S. Army where he met Peggy, a Michiganer whom he met in California. He battled various cancers over the last 13 years with the last 2 years being the most difficult, but always trusting in the Lord he carried on. Besides caring for his family and traveling, he loved to sing in the church choir and worked with St. Mary's St. Vincent de Paul. Family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main Street in Groveport. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 11 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, 5684 Groveport Rd., Groveport. Father Richard Metzger officiating. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice, to Creative Housing, St. Vincent de Paul or Mt. Carmel Hospice.
