Rosalinda Swanson, daughter of the late Fausto and Pelagia Paguyo was born in the Philippines on December 31, 1920. She made her transition to be with the Lord March 7, 2013. Sis. Swanson was predeceased by husbands Fines Taylor in 1972 and Broaden Swanson in 1993. Also predeceased are three brothers and four sisters. Sis. Swanson was a member of Gospel Tabernacle, UHC. She served under the leadership of the late Bishop H.H. Hairston, Bishop Odell McCollum, and currently, Dr. J. Derrick Johnson. She was an active member of the Usher Board, the Inspirational Choir as well as the Mass Choir. She loved the Lord and as a devoted Christian woman, faithfully attended noon day prayer until her illness. Sis. Swanson loved to garden and would share her greens, okra and tomatoes with neighbors and church members alike. As an avid baker, she was often seen offering pies and cakes to members of the church. She was a giving person and helped many family members as well as friends. She always had an encouraging word. Sis. Swanson was employed at the Wexner Heritage Village until retirement. She will be missed by her devoted niece, Aida Rebuldela (her care giver); nieces, Rosario Moudoza and Carmen Marcos; also nephew, Jose Tejada. She leaves to mourn many other nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and friends. Service will be held on Wednesday at the Gospel Tabernacle, UHC, 1205 Hildreth Ave., Columbus, OH at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Dr. J. Derrick Johnson, Pastor, Officiating.
