Roscoe Gilman With the deepest sadness our family shares the news. On Saturday April 30th 2022 Roscoe passed from our world and was reunited with his loving wife Sue in heaven. He was 92 years old. Roscoe was born in Holden, West Virginia on February 10th 1930 to parents Dorsey and Delphia (Dillon) Gilman. Roscoe grew up on Elk Creek in Delbarton, West Virginia. He was a very talented man who played many musical instruments and sang. He was an avid wood worker. Roscoe attended Parsons Baptist church for many years where he served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Roscoe will be deeply missed by his son Johnny Craig Gilman, daughter Roseanna Gilman Driver, son in law Steven Douglas Driver, grandsons Viktor Alexandrov Gilman Driver and Steven Douglas (Carla) Driver Jr. By his brother Albert (Betty) Gilman, brothers in law Ricky Belcher and Brian Belcher, a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents Dorsey and Delphia Gilman, sisters Bertha and Edna Gilman, brother Cleophus Gilmon, sister Cozie Martin, sister Trula Dillon, brother Bruce Gilman, sister Barb Hensley and his wife of 60 years Dottie Sue Gilman. All of whom were gathered and waiting to welcome him into heaven. On Thursday May 5th 2022 we welcome all family and friends who would like to pay their respects to attend Roscoe’s memorial service at O. R. Woodyard funeral home at 1346 S. High Street Columbus, Ohio. The viewing will be 11 am to 1pm. The service will be held at 1 pm. He will then be transported to his final resting place at Walnut Hills cemetery on Rathmell Road Columbus, Ohio.
