Thelma D. Benjamin, age 85, went to be with the Lord April 24, 2015. Born April 6, 1930 in Steubenville, OH to the late George and Mamie Richardson. Preceded in death by daughter, Mamie V. Lawson. She is survived by sons, Monford (Belinda) Lawson Jr., Robert (Vondelere) Lawson, and Alan Lawson; daughters, Suzette Jumper, Rebecca Davis, and Karen (Ebrima) Jallow; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Even though Thelma only had seven children, she was considered a mother by many. She was a devout longtime member of Rehoboth Temple. Retired from The Ohio State Unv. Veterinary College. Visitation will be held Friday, May 1, from 9 am until time of service at 11 am at Rehoboth Temple Church of Christ 1111 E. Long St. Asst. Pastor Melvin Francis officiating.
