Virginia McCoy, age 90, passed away on August 29, 2022. Born on September 27, 1931 in Chattaroy, WV to the late Howard and Fannie Bowen. Virginia is preceded in death by husband, James F McCoy; son, James F McCoy, Jr.; grandson, James E. Scarberry; siblings, Phyllis Speakman, Ruben Bowen, Glenwood Bowen. Virginia is survived by daughter, Barbara Scarberry; grandsons, Lonnie (Nanaca) Scarberry, Mark Scarberry (Renee McPherson), James F. (Tonya) McCoy III, and Adam McCoy; great grandchildren, Angelo, Lanaia, LaiLoni, Maya, and Ava; great-great grandchildren, Able and Alonzo; siblings, Howard Bowen Jr., Eleanor Kinser, James E. Bowen, Larry Bowen, Carol Patterson, Ruby McGraff and Lovell "Tony" Bowen. Visitation will be held Friday, September 2, 2022, from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at the O. R.
