In Loving Memory of Amy Ford
March 30, 1982 – October 13, 2025
Amy Ford, age 43, passed away on October 13, 2025. Born on March 30, 1982, in Columbus, Ohio, Amy was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and strength to all who knew her. She ensured that her final days were filled with cherished memories, spending meaningful moments with those she loved and admired.
Amy was the beloved daughter of Glendora and Michael Blevins Sr., and was preceded in death by her cherished mother, Glendora. She was the devoted wife of Cory Ford, with whom she shared 19 years of unwavering love and partnership. She was a loving mother of her son, Ethan Ford, and her daughter, Cadence Ford, whose lives she filled with warmth, guidance and unconditional love. Amy was a sister whose compassion and support knew no bounds. She leaves behind Jennifer Shuster (married to Chris Shuster, mother to Christopher Shuster Jr.), Wendy Blevins (mother to Joseph Blevins and Lucas Siders), Melissa Biehl (married to Bill Biehl, mother to Diamond, Dustin, Amirah, Elijah, Kenny, and Brooklyn Biehl), Kimberly Blevins (companion of Daniel Schlueb), and her brother Michael Blevins Jr. (married to Ashley).
Amy graduated from West High School in 2000 and went on to dedicate her career to serving others as Food Service Manager for Westerville City Schools. Throughout her years there, Amy's caring heart and professional excellence touched countless lives, especially those of the children she worked with daily. Her compassion was woven into every aspect of her work, and she was known for bringing joy and comfort wherever she went. She often joked about wanting to hold babies just so she could whisk them away for herself. Amy's genuine fondness for children, and particularly for babies, shone through in both her playful spirit and her steadfast commitment to those around her. She was also deeply committed to her colleagues, serving as Secretary of her union and advocating for fairness, community, and the well-being of everyone she worked with.
To honor Amy's life, services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by her funeral on Monday, October 27, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12 noon. All services will take place at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home, 7915 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068. Burial to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, where she will be laid to rest. Pastor Dempsey will be officiating these ceremonies.
Amy's family extends heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Central Ohio for their compassion and care during Amy's final days. Their support brought comfort and dignity through a difficult time.
Amy will be remembered for strength, bravery and her unwavering devotion to family, friends, and especially children. Her life was a testament of love, kindness, and resilience. Amy's memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
