Andrew J. "Andy" Whitmer, age 72, passed away February 7, 2014. He was born May 6, 1941 in Columbus to the late Richard and Beatrice Whitmer. He is preceded in death by son, Richard; grandson, Adam; and brothers, George and Frank. Andy is survived by Gladys Whitmer; sons, Doug, Terry, and Gary; grandchildren, Shelly (Michael) Wilson, Steven (Nadina) Van Arsdale, Wendy Whitmer, Mikey (Kim) Whitmer, and Zach Whitmer; great-grandchildren, Baby Mike, Jake, Levi, Braiden, Deuce, Bella, Owen, Eli, Ellie, and Lochlan; sisters, Maggie (Robert) Kelly, Shirley Meade, Patricia Nance, Nancy (Dave) Pasicka; many other relatives and friends. He was respected by all and known by many as just Grandpa. Visitation will be held Monday, February 10, from 5 to 8 pm at O. R. Woodyard South Chapel 1346 S. High St. where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am. Interment Obetz Cemetery.
