Annie
West
Feb 25, 1936 — Dec 17, 2025
Annie West (Lapeyronnie), age 89, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away on December 17, 2025, after a sudden and brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Annie was born on February 25, 1936, in Corbeil-Essonnes, France, to Henri and Yvette Helene Lapeyronnie. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Michele Castelli.
She is survived by her two sons, Henry (Rebecca) West and Patrick West; four granddaughters, Natalie (Jeremy) Nicodemus, Ashley (Nick) West, Rylee West, and Avery West; and four great-grandsons, West Lee Nicodemus, Porter Gene West, Nolan Henry West, and Cooper Lincoln Nicodemus.
As a young girl growing up during World War II in German-occupied France, Annie was deeply affected by her experiences and often shared stories from that time. She married Herbert Wilson West on January 31, 1957. Herbert served as an aircraft electrician in the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command, stationed in Dreux, France. Both of their sons, Henry and Patrick, were born in France.
In 1967, the family relocated to the United States and settled in Columbus, Ohio. Annie began her career with Huntington National Bank in 1968, where she worked as a personal banker for 30 years before retiring.
Annie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was sure to attend all performances and sporting events for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her presence will be deeply missed during holidays, birthdays, and weekend family gatherings, where we all enjoyed sharing a meal and simply spending time together.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Annie's nurses, doctors, and caregivers during her recent 12-day stay at Mount Carmel East Hospital.
A celebration of life for Annie will be held at a later date in early 2026.
