Annis JoAnn "JoAnn" Grady, age 91, passed away on April 29, 2026, at 4:37 p.m. She was born on August 25, 1934, in Drew County, Arkansas, to Joseph Lee Lawson and Ida Connie Lawson.

Known to those who loved her as JoAnn, she married Leon Grady on June 5, 1954. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and lasting memories.

JoAnn worked at Rockwell International in the sewing department, where she sewed cockpit covers for the B-1 Bomber. She was very proud of the work she did and the role she played in such an important project.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leon Grady; her sons, Stanley Leon Grady and Joseph Webster Grady; her father, Joseph Lee Lawson; and her mother, Ida Connie Lawson.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Dianne McKenzie (Steve), Connie Heigel (Bob), Candace Grady, and Sonya Motley (Tony); 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Her family will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Burial will take place at 11:00am on June 26, 2026 at Dayton National Cemetery 4100 West Third Street Dayton, OH 45428.
