Barbara "Barbie" Moore, born December 12, 1953, entered her heavenly rest on August 24, 2026. A life marked by devotion, kindness, and unwavering love, Barbara leaves behind a legacy that will continue to touch hearts for generations. Her service will be officiated by Lew Compton.

Barbara faithfully served beside her husband, Pastor Kenneth S. Moore, Sr., as a pastor's wife at Powerhouse Apostolic Church. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and service. She met "Steve" at just 14 years old, and from that moment on, they were inseparable. Married for 53 years on earth—and 56 years by Barbie's own loving count—their bond was one of deep affection, partnership, and enduring devotion.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Kenneth S. Moore, Sr.; her mother June Smith; her sister Carolyn Smith; her granddaughters Audrina Robinson and Maisie Butler; her mother‑in‑law Nellie Moore; her father‑in‑law Ken Moore; and her sisters‑in‑law Jean Baker, Sandy Henry, and Judy Simcoe.

Barbara was a dedicated and loving mother to her three children: Carolyn Moore, Kenneth Steven Moore, Jr. (Carrie), and Timothy Moore (Tiffany). Her children—and later her grandchildren—were the center of her world. She poured her heart into each of them, celebrating their joys, carrying their burdens, and praying over them daily.

She was cherished by her grandchildren: Milo and Sully Moore, Kristyn Nice (Damon Robinson), Tristen Robinson, Nina Robinson, Brandon (Jackie) Nice, Ivy Nice, Elijah Nice, Rosalie Nice, Kayla (Bobby) Butler, Maisie Butler, Hazel Butler, and soon‑to‑arrive Lana Butler. To them, she was not just a grandmother—she was a safe place, a source of comfort, and the embodiment of unconditional love.

Barbara also wished to give special tribute to the Moore family, whom she loved deeply: Jean (Dick) Baker, Sandy (Wayne) Henry, Judy Simcoe, Keith (Jennifer) Moore, Tim (Karen) Moore, and Betty (Pat) Davis. "Thank you all for loving me." To her, it was a privilege and honor to be part of the Moore family, and she loved all of you like her own family.

She was adored by countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. "Barbie" had a gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Her thoughtfulness was unmatched—she cared for others instinctively, often putting their needs above her own. She prayed for people constantly, even in her sleep, and in her final days made sure every visitor heard her say, "I love you."

Barbara's life was a testament to compassion, faith, and selflessness. She touched every person she met with her warmth and sincerity. Her impact will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be dearly, deeply missed.

Friends may call at the O. R. WOODYARD COMPANY CHAPEL 1346 S. High Street Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 5-8 pm where

the funeral service will be on Friday August 28th at 11 am.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
