Betty L. Archer, age 89, passed away at her home February 12, 2011. Born in Pomeroy, OH to the late George W. and Lydia Moore. She operated Archer Ice Cream and worked forJohnson Safe Co. for many years. She was a member, secretary, and treasurer of the Old Time Religion Hall. Preceded in death by loving husband of 65 years, Reverend Harry L. Archer; children, Virginia, Robert, William "Bill", and Phyllis; sisters, Goldie Mae Lightfoot, Leona Archer, and Lelah; brothers, George, William, and Thomas Moore. Survived by daughters, Betty Jane Whiteside, Janet Holsinger, June (David) Wise, and Patti (Jack) Gibson; son, James (Kathy) Archer; sister, Eva Jane Johnson; brother, Carroll Moore; 21 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 23 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. SOUTH CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St. where service will be Thursday, 11 a.m. Pastor Irving Reddy officiating.
