Betty Jo. Taylor, age 90, passed away Saturday August 10, 2024, surrounded by family,Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.She is preceded in death by her husband Lewis Taylor to whom she married on May 12. 1958, and shared 59 years until his passing in 2017, a grandson, Derrick Carpenter; parents, Roy Morton, and Lillie Mae (Kelley) Cannaday; siblings, Wilbur Cannaday, Dorothy Cromer, Mildred Conklin, Roy Cannaday, Doris Pecora, and Lucille Hurt. Betty is survived by her Children, David (Joy) Carpenter, Gregory (Kristin) Taylor, Charles (Bobbie) Taylor, Natalie (Glen) Stern; grand children, Danielle Sells, Daniel Carpenter, Luke Taylor, Andrea Wing, Laura Taylor, Jaden Taylor, Christian Stinemetz, Cameron Stinemetz, Lisa Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Colton Taylor, Dakota Szabo, Jeremy Baas, Brandon Baas, Kyle Stern, Kaleb Stern, Kameron Stern, Kole Stern, Kaden Stern, Kendall Stern, and Konnor Stern; 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Betty regularly attended First Baptist Church of Grove City, and Fellowship Baptist Church. Her many hobbies include, making wedding cakes, playing cards on Thursdays, traveling, going out to lunch, and shopping. She was a nurse, and worked in nursing home administration. Visitation for Betty will be Wednesday August 14, 2024 at O R Woodyard Company South High Chapel, 1346 S. High St. Columbus, Oh. 43207. Funeral service will be held Thursday August 15, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Grove City, 3301 Orders Rd. Grove City, Oh. 43123, where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Pastor Daniel Taylor officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Betty's family request contributions be made to American Cancer Society, or Ohio Health Hospice.
