Beverly Jean Born, age 79, of Groveport passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at home surrounded by family. Member of Groveport Zion Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxillary Unit 677 of Lithopolis. She was a hairdresser in Groveport for many years. She was very involved in the Groveport Community, serving as chairperson for the Sesquicentennial Celebration, a member of the Trees and Decoration Committee, and participated in the Apple Butter Day activities. Preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Juanita Herron; sister, Joyce "Jo" Meinert; grandsons, Scott A. Watson and Jerry "JJ" Whitt Jr. Survived by husband of 49 years, Dan; children, Deena (Randy) Watson, Don (Jody) Walters, Dawn (Keith) Coldren, Daniel (Theresa) Born, DeeAnn (Pete) Salvitti and David (Melissa) Born; grandchildren, Shane Watson, Emily Walters, Brett Walters, Travis Walters, Logan Walters, Austin Coldren, Abby Coldren, Daniel R. Born Jr., Steven Born, Aubrey Jarvis, Rachel Wagner, Samantha Born and Kelsi Born; several great grandchildren; siblings, Ronald "Buck" Herron and Saundra "Sas" Pierson; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, June 16th from 4-7 pm at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME 587 Main Street in Groveport. The funeral service will be Monday at 11 am at the Zion Lutheran Church 6014 Groveport Rd. in Groveport with visitation 1 hr. prior to service. Pastor Matthew Cox officiating.
