Bobby Lambert, age 85, of Columbus, OH, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2015. He was born December 1, 1929. Veteran of the U.S. Navy, Korean War. Founding member of the House of Prayer. Bobby loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and lived his life expressing his love for our Heavenly Father. In his own words.. "I'm excited to see Jesus!" Bobby never met a stranger, he believed in expressing himself, but showed compassion for all human and animal kinds. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and shared his love for gospel music. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Hester Lambert, brothers, Everett, Arthur, Clyde, and Darrell Lambert; sisters, Flossie Mounts and Maudie Lambert. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley; children, Roger, Cecil (Teresa), Patricia (Michael) Hogan, Donna (James) Brown, William, Pamela (Michael) McCammon, Sharon (Michael) Kohler, Marsha (Jack) Hines, Jr. Ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Also brother, Jack (Willadean) Lambert and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to Ed Kinder for providing care, comfort and compassion to our dad as well as our family. And everyone said "Amen!" Friends may call at O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., Tuesday from 5 pm until time of service at 7 pm. Pastor Ben Nichols and Pastor Sammy Stafford officiating.
