Brenda Poeschel, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. She was born May 24, 1949 in Columbus, OH to the late George and Norma Bettes. She retired from the Kroger Co. with over 20 years of service. She was also an avid OSU Buckeyes football fan and dog lover. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Dennis Bettes. She is survived by children, Melissa Purtee and Joseph (Chastity) Poeschel; former spouse, Joseph Poeschel; grandchildren, Scarlett, Spencer, Tyler, and Taylor; great granddaughter, Evelyn; many friends. Brenda will be laid to rest following a graveside service on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, 5802 Elder Rd. Canal Winchester, OH 43110. Final arrangements entrusted to the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, Columbus, OH.
