Brian Kenneth Fox, Sr, 65, of Columbus, OH unexpectedly passed away late evening, April 6, 2025. Brian was born in Columbus, OH, on December 27, 1959, to parent's Donald and Patricia Fox. He lived in Columbus his entire life and attended St. Ladislaus Elementary, Barrett Junior High, and Columbus South High School from where he graduated in 1978 as the first high school graduate of his family. In 1979 Brian enlisted in the U.S. Army for a four-year term and completed his basic training at Fort Polk (now known as Fort Johnson), and later served as a Military Police Officer. Following his discharge from the U.S. Army in 1984, Brian returned home to Columbus. Soon after, he met and fell head over heels in-love with Linda Keller, whom he always affectionately referred to as the "love of his life." Brian would later father his first two children, Shawn, and Sarah, with Linda. In 1994, Brian lost his beloved Linda, a loss from which he never recovered. He later met, and fell for Nicole Blakey, with whom he fathered his last three children, Justin, Brian Jr., and Amber. Brian worked for The Ohio State University's Department of Maintenance for a brief time before venturing off to work as an independent remodeling and construction contractor, a career from which he finally retired in 2014.

Brian was the comedic relief to every family gathering, big or small. Well known for his snappy comebacks and quick-witted responses, he had an uncanny ability to make others laugh no matter the situation. His sense of humor was just one of his many qualities and talents. Brian's heart was big and full of love for his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Brian was not only a father to his own children, but also filled a fatherly role in the lives of his nephews, Patrick "Pat" and Michael "Mikey," and nieces, Nicole "Nicki" and Erica "Smoky". He had no greater pride than that of being a father to his children and a grandpa to his grandbabies, to all of whom he was otherwise affectionately known as "old man." Brian's children and grandchildren were his life. He would say that his best accomplishment in life was his five children and sixteen grandchildren; he was a very proud father and grandpa. Brian's family asks that he be remembered for the love he showed to others and the laughter he provided in life, not the sadness of his passing. Brian is survived by his adoring children, Shawn. (Kristi South) Fox Sr., Sarah (Mike Robusto) Fox, Brian (Cassie Gould) Fox Jr., Amber (Jairo Sanchez) Fox, grandchildren; Xzavier, Natalie, Alexander, Adrieonah, Shawn Jr., Romeo, and Hayden Fox, Nicolas Sanchez, Milania, Madison, and Mikey Robusto, Kadin, Mikyia, and Bonnie Moore, Sofia Blakey, and Emberly Neace; daughter-in-law, Kassie Moore, siblings; Mark Fox Sr., Brad Fox Sr., Roxanne Fox, and Matthew (Stephanie) Fox, and an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Brian is preceded in death by his beloved, Linda Keller, Nicole Blakey, son Justin Blakey, parents; Donald "Don" Edward Fox and Patricia "Pat" Cattell, sister Rita Lynn Fox, brother Christopher "Duck" Fox, sister-in-law's; Jenny Fox, Marjorie "Sissy" Fox, Sandra "Sandy" Fox, niece Erica Lynn "Smoky" Fox, and nephew Robert Fox.  Visitation will be held Monday, April 14, 2025, 5:00 pm until the time of funeral service at 7:00 pm at O. R. Woodyard Co. 1346 South High Street. Pastor Tim Womack, officiating.
