Bruce R. Boylan, born 6/7/1952 has passed away 9/22/2026, peacefully at home surrounded by his close family. Bruce was a native of Westerville and graduated in 1970. After graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force and proudly served as a 2M0X2 with minuteman missiles. Bruce enjoyed camping, bird watching, reading, enjoying music and boating. Some of his fondest hobbies of all were simply spending time with his children and grandchildren or doting on his beloved sweetheart, Linda. Bruce was known widely throughout the Archdiocese of Columbus, where he worked tirelessly managing facilities and making friends. Upon retirement, Bruce and Linda settled into the boating life with their Sea Ray “No Bad Dayz”, cruising Lake Erie and enjoying the marital building activities that come with docking a boat. Bruce’s heart knew no end and he never failed to make a friend, bring a smile to someone else’s day, or just be a friend we all wished we had. As a husband, he was dedicated to ensuring he enjoyed every adventure he could with his wife Linda. As a father, he enjoyed watching his children thrive and bloom, but his favorite pastime and proudest title was being a professional Papa.

Proceeded in death by his parents Barb and Jim Boylan, and brothers Mark and Timothy. He is survived in death by his Aunt Jean Boylan, loving wife Linda Boylan of 54 years, children Tanya Boylan, Patrick (Oy) Boylan and Kathryn (Kevin) Carlin, grandchildren Ashely, Anabele and Garrett, siblings Gary, Peg and Matt, and nieces Maria, Christine and Paige.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, where he enjoyed spendings many hours bird watching, or your local library, where he enjoyed Science Fiction novels.
