Carl W. Vance, Jr., age 71, passed away peacefully at home in Columbus, Ohio on December 11, 2024.

Born September 15, 1953, in West Union, Ohio, son of Carl W. Vance, Sr., and Catherine C. (Thomas) Linley. Carl was a truck driver for Big Bear Stores for 24 years and a proud Teamsters brother. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served honorably between 1971 and 1973 as a Gunner's Mate aboard the USS Blakely and was honorably discharged, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Service Medal for his service.

Carl leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Jacqueline R. Vance, children Carl Lee (Sara) Foreman, Danny (Stacey) Foreman, Lynn Hall, "Wesley" Carl W. Vance, III, Paul (Garima) Vance, Adam Vance, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Catherine "Katie" Linley and his brother Gene (Suella) Vance, along with nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Surrounded by family was his favorite place to be.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
