Celebrating the Life of Carol Anne Falks

Carol Anne Falks entered eternal rest on August 16, 2026, following a courageous battle with kidney disease. She was a woman of faith, a devoted mother and grandmother, and someone whose generous spirit and thoughtful nature left a lasting impression on those who knew her.

Carol had a deep appreciation for knowledge and learning. An avid reader and lifelong learner, she worked as a librarian and also served as a substitute teacher, including physical education at the early learning and college levels. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, genealogy, knitting, literature, and opportunities to continue learning.

Her love of books and fellowship was reflected in her involvement with the Sisters Sippin' Tea Columbus Literature Book Club. Carol also valued her faith community and participated in Golden Wisdom Senior Ministry and Sister-2-Sister Women's Ministry. These connections brought her fellowship, encouragement, friendship, and opportunities to share her own wisdom with others.

Carol shared many years of life and adventure with her beloved husband, Franklin Curtis Falks. His career as a college and NFL football coach took them to many places, allowing them to travel, experience new communities, and create a lifetime of memories together.

Those who spent time with Carol knew she possessed a wealth of knowledge and life experience. She could hold a meaningful conversation about almost anything and had a way of sharing what she knew with warmth, grace, and unmistakable personality.

During Carol's final days, she was surrounded by love and care from her brother, Harold Jerome Grant, and his wife, Sherry; her cousins, Theresa Stone and Lee Bowens; Bethanie and Jonathan Ransom; and her caring church family. Their presence, prayers, comfort, and companionship surrounded Carol with love as she completed her earthly journey.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Herold Grant and Clara Bell Grant, and her beloved husband, Franklin Curtis Falks.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Harold Jerome Grant, and his wife, Sherry; daughter, Raegan Falks; son, Michael Falks; granddaughters, Shaelyn Falks and Shaela Falks; grandson, Anthony Falks; nieces, Erika Grant and Tawanda Grant; cousins, Theresa Stone, Lorraine Nnamani, Naomi Brody, Wilhemenia Williams, and Lee Bowens; Bethanie and Jonathan Ransom; her loving church family; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Carol lived a full life filled with family, faith, learning, travel, fellowship, conversation, and treasured experiences. Though her earthly journey has ended, the memories she created and the impact she made will remain with those who loved her.

Rest peacefully, Carol. You were deeply loved, and you will be deeply missed.
