Catherine Anne Gabriel, age 64, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on June 27, 2024. Born December 22, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Michael and Vivienne Patterson. A graduate of Marion Franklin High School Class of 1977, where she was All-City shortstop on the softball team, a member of the tennis team and a majorette. From there she went on to create a family bond filled with the abundance of love that will be cherished forever. Cathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Cathy loved her family unconditionally.

Cathy is preceded in death by parents'; and siblings, Steve, Tom, Kevin Patterson. She is survived by husband, Michael Gabriel; son, Michael (Kenda) Gabriel II, daughters, Melissa (Eric) Slone and Kimberly (Donny) McLean; brother, Mike (Dawna) Patterson III; 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; close niece, Erin P. Schumacher; close family friends, Stacey Green and Nicki Glass; many other relatives and friends. Cremation arrangements entrusted to O. R. Woodyard Funeral Home. Family will host memorial service at a later date. Condolences and flowers are welcome to be sent to family's home.
