Ted Patton, age 88, passed away on May 31 at home. Loving son, brother, husband, father and papaw, he passed peacefully after suffering from Parkinson's disease. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Maryjo (Johnson), parents, Elza and Fannie Mae (Ison), sister, Thelma and brother, Charles. He is survived by sister, Sharon Patton; children, Kim (Chuck) Woods, Robin Patton, Kelly (Ron) Haralson, Holly Kirkland and Anthony Patton; grandchildren, Jeff (Sabrina) Sanfillipo, Joe (Kathie) Sanfillipo, Jeremy Patton, Erin (Izzy) Arroyo, Ashley (Mike) Berger, Amie (Luke) Inman, Sarah (Paul) Begley, Joanna Deal, Jennifer Haralson, Breanna, Haralson, Delanie Haralson; and 16 great grandchildren. He had many interests with some being, reading, sailing and Nascar. He proudly served in the US Air Force for more than 20 years before retiring to the private sector working with OSHA, Lockheed Martin, and his own Safety Consulting Company. After working at various businesses, he finally retired for the last time in 2010 to care for his wife. Ted was an inspiration and hero to his family and will be deeply missed.
