Charles A. "Bud"
Hock II
Jun 12, 1944 — Oct 19, 2026
Reynoldsburg, Ohio
Charles A. "Bud" Hock, 82, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2026, following several years with Parkinson's disease.
He is survived by Linda, his wife of 47 years, and his children: Cary (Jennifer) Hock of Pataskala, Ohio; Jon (Staci) Hock of Blacklick, Ohio; Angela Biller of Columbus, Ohio; and Kelly (Brad) Lutz of London, Ohio.
He was also a loving grandfather to eight grandchildren: Jadalynn Biller, Justin Charles Biller, Allison Hock, Cody Hock, Emma-Leigh Hock, Samantha Lascola, Charles Lutz, and Katherine Lutz; and a great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his special cousin, Charles "Butch" Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Esther (Courtney) Hock; his brother, Robert Hock of Columbus; and his sister, Margaret Raitz of North Carolina.
Bud graduated from Holy Rosary High School in Columbus, where he played football, baseball, and basketball. He went on to work for 39 years at the Kroger Distribution Center before retiring.
Known for his wonderful sense of humor, Bud was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an enthusiastic Ohio State football fan and loved cheering on the Buckeyes.
Bud also enjoyed playing golf and, after retiring two years before Linda, could often be found on the golf course once his daily chores were finished. He loved to cook and took pleasure in preparing meals for himself and Linda. When he wasn't sure what to make, he would call his mother, Esther, to talk over the possibilities.
Bud and Linda shared a love of camping and travel. After they both retired from The Kroger Co., they spent their winters at Myrtle Beach Travel Park, where they made many lasting friendships. They especially enjoyed walking along the ocean, spending time with friends, and participating in the park's many activities.
Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
