Charles L. Lynch was born in Columbus, Ohio, on December 30, 1941, to Jasper "Pap" Lynch and Kathryn Lynch. He was a graduate of Hamilton Township High School, where he discovered his passion and talent for woodworking, winning awards for his craftsmanship.

Charles is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ramona P. Lynch; his children, Robin Lynch, Charles (Stefanie) Lynch, and Danny (Robyn) Lynch; and his grandchildren: Zachary (Ashley) Lynch, Kristi Bruyako, Austin (Lainie) Lynch, Travis (Rylee) Lynch, Brandon (Megan) Lynch, Kayla (Caleb) Slyh, Corey (Megan) Steen, Emily (Bo) Huffman, Jaycie (Zachary) Petty, Justin (Mandy) Osborne, and Jacob (Kiersten) Osborne. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Kathryn Lynch; his brothers, John, Gene, and Garry Lynch; his mother- and father-in-law, Paul and Lorena Chapman; his sister-in-law, Phyllis Galloway; and his brother-in-laws, LeRoy and James Chapman.

Charles retired from General Motors after 28 years at the young age of 48 and went on to enjoy 36 years of retirement.

He spent many years collecting antique tools, especially woodworking planes. He loved attending auctions and walked the South High Street Flea Market for more than 50 years, searching for rare tools and good deals with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Charles was multitalented and generously shared his knowledge with his family, whether working on Chuck's Chevy Nova, Danny's Mustang, or helping Robin remodel houses. Cars, plumbing, electrical work, gardening, and farming, nothing seemed too difficult for him to tackle.

Charles used his passion and drive for perfection in woodworking to create beautiful furniture, wood bowls, vases, and Christmas ornaments that his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will cherish.

Charles courageously fought a four-year battle with cancer. His memory will be carried by his family through his beautiful pieces of wood art displayed throughout their homes.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home - Groveport (587 Main Street, Groveport, OH 43125) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Charles was a long-time supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Charles's memory at StJude.org.
