Chilton David Birt, age 62, passed away Tuesday July 1, 2025, at OSU, Ross Heart Hospital. Chilton was born on May 2, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio to the late James F. Birt, and Barbara McGraw-Rogers, also preceding Chilton in death are his grandparents, Charles and Mary Birt; stepsister, Kris Zinn; nephew, Shaun Elliott. He is survived by brothers, Charles (Rosie) Birt and James (Lori) Birt; sister, Mary (Harry) Elliott; stepsister, Kandi Spears; nieces, Crystal Elliott and partner Walt Copas, and Kayte Hardwick; nephews, Brandon (Marylynn) Birt, and Caleb Birt, Tommie (Krystal) Spears, and Timmie Spears, multiple great nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends. Chilton was an avid musician who comes from a musical family. Visitation for Chilton will be held on Monday July 7th from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm at O. R. Woodyard Co.
