Christopher Vincent Elia passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 74 at his home in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Phoenix, AZ to the late Charles Vincent Elia and Mary Irene Gardner Elia on February 27, 1951. He is preceded in death by his sister, Rosanne and brother, Michael (Celia Woods). He is survived by his wife Kathy Cochran, son, Joe, stepchildren, Bret (Emily) Rollins, Brandon (Melanie Kerr) Rollins and four much loved grandsons, Fletcher, Zane, Owen and Elliott. He is also survived by brothers Tony (Joyce) Elia, Rick Elia and many nieces and nephews.

Chris attended Holy Rosary Elementary School, Columbus, OH, and graduated from North Babylon High School and then from Stony Brook University, Long Island, NY. He worked for 19 years at the State of Ohio Bureau of Disability. In retirement he enjoyed time spent studying astronomy and traveling to a dark spot in the sky near the Cochran homestead in West Viriginia to view the stars and the Milky Way.
