Cindy Marie Hondel, 74, of Scioto Retirement Assisted Living, Columbus died at 11:15 am at Mount Carmel West Hospital after a short illness. Cindy was born on December 8, 1938 at Beaver Dam Hospital, Martin, Kentucky to Robert and Martha Warrens Marshall. She graduated from Maytown High School in 1958; Valedictorian of her class. She moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1962 and married Marion Hondel on June 18, 1966. He passed away in 2007. She attended several churches in the area, sharing her beautiful voice, she loved to sing. She is survived by one brother, Robert Marshall, Warsaw, Indiana; one sister, Rose Petry, Sebring, Fla., several cousins, nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, from 10 am till time of funeral service at 12 noon at O. R. WOODYARD CO.
