Clara Scott (Derflinger) of Groveport, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2024 at the age of 97. She was a beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma, and aunt.  Clara was born on November 2, 1926 in Lithopolis, Ohio to her late parents, Ruth and Ralph Derflinger.  Graduate of Groveport High School class of 1944.

Clara was preceded in her death by her late husband, (love of her life) George Scott; daughter, Becky Muessig-Scott; sisters, Alice, Betty, Dorothy, Mary and brother Donald.  She is survived by her loving son, Doug Scott, and loving daughter, Terri Parrish;  grandkids,  Eric (Samantha) Parrish, Kyle (Juli) Parrish, Brandi (Chad) Swisher, Holly and Heidi Scott, and Quinn (Jenn) Muessig; great grandkids, Hunter, Kylee, Kinsley, Case, Luke, Makenna, and Kennedy. As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Clara was devoted to family, lived life to the fullest, and was loved by all.  She welcomed everyone with open arms and a huge smile.  Clara was a one of a kind with a heart of gold.  She had a love for flowers, the color purple, March Madness (Buckeyes), going to the casino and attending family gatherings.  Clara will be greatly missed by all, especially her family.

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 5-8 pm at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME 587 Main Street in Groveport and from 10 am until time of the funeral at 11 am on Friday March 22nd at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens 351 Coonpath Rd. NE, Lancaster, OH. 43130.
