Clyde Raymond "Ray" McKnight, formerly of Columbus passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Pickaway Manor, Circleville, surrounded by his family. Ray was born in Willard, Ohio, on September 13, 1930 to the late Clyde and Mary (Heckman) McKnight. He married Alice A. Studer on June 12, 1951. Ray was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Groveport. He retired from the U. S. Air Force and Borden. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He is survived by his wife, Alice; and four children, Janet (Bob) Barnhart of Chillicothe, Sally Wallace of Circleville, Sandra McKnight of Columbus and Scott (Tammy) McKnight of Lexington, Kentucky; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Cunningham; brother, Robert McKnight; and son-in-law, Steven Wallace. Friends may call Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 10-11 a.m. at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main Street in Groveport. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 5684 Groveport Rd., Groveport, with Father Richard Metzger officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne.
