Daniel M Kole passed on at The Ohio State Medical Center on 11th of April in Columbus, Ohio at the age of 68.

Dan is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Peggy Kole; daughter Shauna Roush, grandchildren Aiden and Madison Roush; sisters Sarah Ironside, Kris Marks, Ginny Rykaceski, Lori Sullivan and his many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by father Edward Kole and mother Esther Kole (Halluska).

Dan was born on 12th of September, 1955 to Edward and Esther Kole in Braddock, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, Dan moved to Columbus, Ohio where he attended DeVry Institute of Technology and graduated with a degree in Engineering. In 1980, he married the love of his life, Peggy and later that same year they welcomed their beautiful daughter Shauna into the world. Dan would go on to have a career at Asea Brown Boveri spanning 28 years until his retirement.

Dan was an avid golfer and spent every Sunday without the threat of lightning (and some with) on the course. One could describe it as passion just as easily as obsession, but one thing is certain, the only thing that Dan loved more than golf was his family. His daughter and grandchildren remember him as the strong-willed, loving man that taught them to have the strength to weather anything, even when he no longer had the strength to do it himself.

His loving wife will simply remember him as the young man who handed her the pen to write her own fairytale.
