Daryl F. "Bake" Bakenhaster, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Born in Columbus, Ohio on November 19, 1953, to Walter and Patricia Bakenhaster.  Daryl was the owner of Bakenhaster Concrete; member of Sons of the American Legion Post 144, and Charity Newsies. Bake was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns Fan.  Preceded in death by mother, Patricia (Wilson) Bakenhaster; brother, Donnie Bakenhaster.  Survived by wife of 47 years, Carol; son, Derek Bakenhaster; daughter, Dreama (Scott) Noel; grandchildren, Damon Bakenhaster, Julia and Olivia Noel; father, Walter "Bud" (J-Anne) Bakenhaster; siblings, Debra, Denise and David Bakenhaster; aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins; very special friends, Howard Newsome, Kim Compton, Jack Huber and Scott (Jackie) Pearrell.  Friends may call at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 South High St., Columbus, Ohio 43207 on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. where funeral service will be held Saturday September 28th, 10 am.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.  Family is asking friends and family to wear their Buckeye attire. The family suggests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Charity Newsies in Daryl's memory.
