David E. Brigner, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Mount Carmel East Hospital surrounded by family. He was born in Pickaway County on April 29, 1938, to Lawrence T. and Margaret E. (Jinks) Brigner. David was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 31 years Darlene Mae (Brumfield) Brigner; sisters Rowena (Brigner) Stange and Barbara (Brigner) Carlisle; and brothers Marvin Brigner, Lawrence Brigner, and infant brother Lloyd Brigner. David is survived by his nieces Tippy, Merrilie, Wanda, Darletta, and Dustee; nephews Andy, Ron, and Mark; many great nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law Marilyn Brigner and Darlene Brigner.

A 1956 graduate of Walnut Township, David was a devoted husband, a hard-worker, and a proud member of Ironworkers Local 172. He enjoyed his cars - the faster, the better - and playing cards. Although David loved eating out, he also enjoyed home cooked meals. He especially treasured being picked up by his nephew Mark and taken out to dinner for a good fried bologna sandwich where David could have his favorites: a free meal (LOL) and the enjoyment of wonderful company. Especially close to Tippy, he enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews, and friends and was always looking forward to the next visit. Quite the ornery fella, Uncle David's humor, laugh, and little glint in his eye will be missed.

Visiting hours will be held from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Myers Woodyard Funeral Home 587 Main St. Groveport Ohio. Interment Obetz Cemetery.
